What it is like to shoot in Antalya

We covered a four-day pharma incentive summit at a Belek resort, with a side day filming a CEO interview against the Old Town harbour. The light here from October through April is forgiving in a way few other coastal cities can match.

Our regular Antalya workflow covers tourism and hospitality MICE. We crew with a local production assistant, a dedicated sound recordist, and a lighting team that knows the venues — including Cam Piramit — well enough to walk in cold and still finish on time.

NEST Congress Center at Belek's Maxx Royal complex gives 12m clear ceiling in the main hall with broadcast-grade rigging on a 4m grid and 5,000-seat plenary capacity. We use it for pharma KOL congresses (multiple Turkish Society of Cardiology and Turkish Medical Association-aligned events), finance incentive summits, and large-format corporate KOL work. Acoustic treatment is professional (RT60 ~1.0s). Load-in via the resort service entry takes 4 artics with 24-hour access. Power is 3-phase 400A per position. The Belek resort corridor is 35km east of Antalya — crew accommodation in Belek rather than commuting from central Antalya. The integrated 4K SDI infrastructure ties into the gallery for redundant multicam.

2. Cam Piramit (Glass Pyramid) Antalya

Cam Piramit gives a 14m pyramidal ceiling under a glass-and-steel envelope with 1,500-seat plenary capacity. We use it for finance and pharma KOL conferences in central Antalya where the architectural envelope is itself a brand asset. Acoustically the pyramid is challenging (RT60 ~2.4s on glass and steel) and we always run tight cardioids on lectern condensers; high-pass at 100Hz and tap FOH at -10 dBu rather than capturing ambient. Load-in via the Akdeniz Boulevard service entry is constrained: 3.6m dock height and 7.5 tonnes per truck. Power is 3-phase 250A per position. The Antalya bay B-roll plate from the venue's south face is a signature cutaway at golden hour.

3. Titanic Mardan Palace Congress Center

Belek / Kundu

Titanic Mardan's Grand Congress Hall gives a 9m ceiling with rigged points on a 3m grid and 2,500-seat banquet capacity. We use it for pharma incentive summits and HCP-facing advisory boards where the resort venue is part of the creative brief. Acoustically the hall is well-treated (RT60 ~1.0s) and runs clean DPA 6066s. Load-in via the resort service entry takes 3 artics. Power is 3-phase 250A per position. The Mediterranean B-roll plate from the venue's south-facing terrace is reliable from October through April for executive intros; summer (May–September) light at 12:00–15:00 is harsh and we always shoot exteriors before 09:00 or after 17:00.

Antalya's pharma incentive calendar runs October through April for HCP-facing summits, and the light during those months is forgiving in a way few other Mediterranean cities can match; we always shoot a wide-format B-roll plate of the Belek coast as a default cutaway, mixed to -23 LUFS for broadcast or -16 LUFS for digital delivery as standard.
