Field notes

What it is like to shoot in Copenhagen

We shot a Maersk executive series across two Indre By offices, then covered a life-sciences summit at the Bella Center the same week. Danish production crews are punctual to a degree that genuinely improves what you get on screen.

Our regular Copenhagen workflow covers cleantech, life sciences, and shipping. We crew with a local production assistant, a dedicated sound recordist, and a lighting team that knows the venues — including Bella Center — well enough to walk in cold and still finish on time.

Copenhagen expertise

Filming at Copenhagen's Premier Corporate Venues

Copenhagen B2B production concentrates around three venues: Bella Center in Ørestad for conference and trade-show scale, Tivoli Congress Center for central pharma and finance KOL formats, and Øksnehallen at Vesterbro for industrial-aesthetic launch work. Københavns Kommune permits run 10 working days; drone work near Kastrup (CPH) requires separate Trafikstyrelsen clearance.

1. Bella Center

Ørestad

Bella Center's Auditorium 10 gives a 9m proscenium ceiling and 6,000-seat plenary capacity with broadcast-grade rigging. We use it for EU policy work, pharma congresses (ECCMID-aligned events), and large-format SaaS keynotes. Acoustic treatment is professional (RT60 ~1.1s) and runs clean off-axis lavs. The Halls A and B (10m clear ceiling, 6m grid) handle trade-show scale; acoustically they run RT60 ~2.5s and we tent any KOL studio. Load-in via the Center Boulevard dock takes 8 artics with 24-hour access. Power is 3-phase 400A per position. The integrated 4K SDI tie-ins to the gallery make multicam redundancy straightforward.

2. Tivoli Congress Center

Vesterbro / Centrum

Tivoli Congress Center sits adjacent to Tivoli Gardens and gives a 7.4m ceiling in the Tivoli Hall with broadcast-grade rigging on a 4m grid. We use it for finance and pharma KOL conferences where central Copenhagen is essential. Acoustic treatment is professional (RT60 ~1.0s). Load-in via the Arni Magnussons Gade service entry is restricted to 3.8m dock height and 7.5 tonnes per truck. Power is 3-phase 200A per position. The integrated Yamaha CL5 console is reliable and we patch in for redundant audio. The Tivoli Gardens gates B-roll plate is a signature Copenhagen cutaway we shoot at 50mm full-frame in the late afternoon.

3. Øksnehallen

Vesterbro / Kødbyen

Øksnehallen (the old cattle hall in the Meatpacking District) gives an industrial-cast-iron envelope at 9m clear ceiling with daylight from the roof lanterns. We use it for fintech, SaaS, and design-adjacent KOL launch work. Acoustically the hall is challenging (RT60 ~2.7s on cast iron and brick) and we always treat with full drape and floor-mounted bass traps. Load-in via the Halmtorvet dock takes one truck at a time. Power is single-phase 32A per circuit plus one 3-phase tie-in. The architectural envelope is itself a B-roll subject and we always shoot wide masters at 24mm full-frame to sell the production scale.

Danish winter daylight runs 7 hours total in December (sunrise 08:38, sunset 15:38) so any KOL exterior plate work front-loads to a 90-minute window between 12:00 and 13:30, with all studio capture scheduled before or after.

Copenhagen's Video Production Market

Copenhagen is Scandinavia's business capital and a European hub for cleantech, pharma, shipping, and design-driven SaaS. From the corporate towers of Ørestad to the innovation districts of Nordhavn, B2B brands here set the standard for Nordic quality. The city hosts major conferences at Bella Center and attracts global decision-makers year-round. Professional video content is essential for cutting through in a market that values design, sustainability, and substance over noise.

Why Professional Video Delivers ROI

Nordic B2B buyers expect polished, design-forward content. Video outperforms every other content type on LinkedIn across the Nordics, with 4x higher engagement rates than static posts. For Copenhagen's pharma, fintech, and shipping sectors, a single well-produced corporate film serves investor relations, trade shows, LinkedIn campaigns, and recruitment — making your production budget work across multiple quarters and channels.

Equipment & Crew

Our Copenhagen crews shoot on Sony FX6 and RED Komodo cinema cameras with Zeiss CP.3 and Sony G Master lenses. We carry Aputure 600d lighting, DJI RS3 Pro stabilisers, Sennheiser wireless audio, and DJI Mavic 3 Pro drones. Every setup is designed for Scandinavian light conditions — maximising the golden-hour quality unique to Copenhagen and handling low-light interior shoots in modern Nordic office spaces.

Coverage Area

While our crew is based in Copenhagen, we cover shoots across Denmark — Aarhus, Odense, Aalborg — and the broader Øresund region including Malmö and Lund. Multi-city Nordic shoots spanning Stockholm, Oslo, and Helsinki are coordinated from our Copenhagen hub, giving you one point of contact, consistent quality, and a single invoice.
