Field notes

What it is like to shoot in São Paulo

We shot a fintech founder interview series along Avenida Faria Lima with parallel B-roll on the Pinheiros bridge at golden hour. São Paulo's helicopter B-roll is a category of production decision in itself and we have the partners booked for it.

Our regular São Paulo workflow covers fintech, agribusiness, and pharma. We crew with a local production assistant, a dedicated sound recordist, and a lighting team that knows the venues — including São Paulo Expo — well enough to walk in cold and still finish on time.

São Paulo expertise

Filming at São Paulo's Premier Corporate Venues

São Paulo B2B production concentrates around three precincts: Expo Center Norte in Vila Guilherme for trade-show scale, São Paulo Expo at Imigrantes for larger industrial work, and a tier of Jardins and Itaim Bibi hotel ballrooms for finance and pharma KOL formats. Prefeitura de São Paulo permits run 15 working days; helicopter B-roll over central districts requires ANAC airspace clearance.

1. Expo Center Norte

Vila Guilherme

Expo Center Norte gives 10m clear ceiling across its main pavilions with 4m grid rigging and 3-phase 400A per position. We use it for pharma congresses (multiple SBC, SBOC-aligned events) and industrial trade. Acoustically the halls run RT60 ~2.6s open and every KOL is hardwired DPA 4080 with redundant ISO to a Sound Devices Scorpio. Load-in via Rua José Bernardo Pinto runs to 10 artic bays; afternoon São Paulo traffic on the Marginal Tietê adds 60 minutes between 4–7pm, so we always run early-morning bump-in. Power is 3-phase 400A per position. The Centro Norte's auditorium (Auditório Elis Regina) gives a 7m conference ceiling for KOL fireside formats.

2. São Paulo Expo

Vila Água Funda / Imigrantes

São Paulo Expo gives 13m clear ceiling with 6m grid rigging and 3-phase 600A per position — the largest-format venue in Latin America. We use it for Agrishow-adjacent and major automotive trade work where Expo Center Norte is too small. Acoustically the halls run RT60 ~2.8s open. Load-in via Rodovia dos Imigrantes is straightforward (highway-adjacent dock) but the venue is 12km south of central São Paulo; crew accommodation should be in Ibirapuera or Jardim Paulista rather than commuting from Pinheiros. Power is 3-phase 600A per position. The integrated 4K SDI infrastructure in the upper auditorium ties into the gallery for redundant multicam.

3. Grand Hyatt São Paulo

Itaim Bibi / Brooklin

Grand Hyatt's Sky Lounge ballroom gives a 7m ceiling with rigged points on a 3m grid and full daylight from the south face overlooking the Pinheiros River. We use it for finance and pharma KOL fireside content where central São Paulo aesthetics are essential. Acoustically the ballroom is warm (RT60 ~0.9s) and runs clean DPA 6066s. Load-in via the Avenida das Nações Unidas service entry is constrained: freight elevator at 2.4m wide and 24-hour notice required. Power is 3-phase 125A per ballroom. The venue's proximity to Faria Lima and the financial district makes it our default KOL fireside venue for São Paulo-based pharma medical affairs work.

Brazilian Portuguese voiceover for ANVISA-aligned pharma KOL deliverables is non-negotiable, and we always book a São Paulo-based VO talent rather than European Portuguese to avoid the accent rejection that has burned past projects in HCP-facing distribution.

São Paulo's Video Production Market

São Paulo is Latin America's largest city and its undisputed financial capital, home to the B3 stock exchange, the Faria Lima fintech corridor, and the headquarters of Brazil's biggest companies. With over 22 million people in the metro area, it's a market where B2B brands in pharma, agritech, fintech, and manufacturing compete for executive attention. The city hosts major trade fairs at São Paulo Expo and draws LATAM-wide audiences for corporate events. Professional video content is the medium that cuts through in this fast-paced, Portuguese-speaking market.

Why Professional Video Delivers ROI

Brazilian B2B audiences are among the most engaged video consumers in Latin America — video content on LinkedIn Brasil generates 4x higher engagement than text posts. For São Paulo's fintech, pharma, and industrial sectors, a polished corporate film serves investor relations, trade show presentations, LinkedIn campaigns, and client-facing communications across Portuguese and Spanish markets. We deliver in every format, ensuring your production budget works across LATAM channels.

Equipment & Crew

Our São Paulo crews shoot on RED Komodo and Sony FX6 cinema cameras with Zeiss CP.3 and Sony G Master lenses. We carry Aputure 600d lighting, DJI RS3 Pro stabilisers, Sennheiser wireless audio, and DJI Mavic 3 Pro drones for aerial work. Every setup is built for São Paulo's varied environments — from the modernist architecture of Faria Lima offices to outdoor shoots along Avenida Paulista.

Coverage Area

Our crew is based in São Paulo but we cover shoots across Brazil — Rio de Janeiro, Brasília, Belo Horizonte, Curitiba, and beyond. Multi-city LATAM shoots spanning Buenos Aires, Santiago, Bogotá, and Mexico City are coordinated from our São Paulo hub, giving you one point of contact, consistent quality, and a single invoice.
