Field notes

What it is like to shoot in Stockholm

We shot a Spotify-adjacent music-tech founder interview series across Norrmalm offices and a Södermalm rooftop. Stockholm's archipelago light from May through August is the kind of natural fill you cannot reproduce in post.

Our regular Stockholm workflow covers SaaS, gaming, and music tech. We crew with a local production assistant, a dedicated sound recordist, and a lighting team that knows the venues — including Stockholmsmässan — well enough to walk in cold and still finish on time.

Stockholm expertise

Filming at Stockholm's Premier Corporate Venues

Stockholm B2B production concentrates around three venues: Stockholmsmässan in Älvsjö for trade-show scale, the Waterfront on Norrmalm for finance and pharma KOL conferences, and a tier of repurposed industrial venues in Södermalm for SaaS and fintech launch work. Stockholm Stad film permits run 10 working days; Trafikkontoret handles public-space filming separately.

1. Stockholmsmässan

Älvsjö

Stockholmsmässan's Hall A gives 11m clear ceiling with rigging on a 6m grid and 3-phase 400A per position. We use it for industrial trade work (Elmia-aligned events) and pharma congresses. Acoustically the halls run RT60 ~2.5s open. Load-in via the Mässvägen service road takes 8 artics with 24-hour access during bump-in. The venue is 9km south of central Stockholm in Älvsjö — easy by commuter rail but kit transit by truck adds 30 minutes in afternoon traffic. The Victoria Hall conference centre gives a 7.4m conference ceiling and is our preferred KOL fireside venue — RT60 ~1.0s, professional acoustic treatment, and integrated 4K SDI tie-ins to the gallery.

2. Stockholm Waterfront Congress Centre

Norrmalm

Waterfront's main auditorium gives a 7m ceiling with broadcast-grade rigging and seats 3,000. We use it for finance, pharma KOL, and EU-policy work where central Stockholm location is essential. Acoustic treatment is professional (RT60 ~1.0s) and the in-house line array is well-tuned. Load-in via the Klarabergsviadukten service entry is the constraint: 3.5m dock height and a single bay, so multi-truck bump-in stacks. Power is 3-phase 200A per position. The venue's foyer gives a clean Riddarfjärden waterfront B-roll plate that we shoot at golden hour for executive intros — Stockholm's high-latitude summer light at 21:00 in June is the gift of the city.

3. Münchenbryggeriet

Södermalm

Münchenbryggeriet (the old brewery) gives an industrial-historic envelope that reads well for fintech and SaaS launch keynotes. The Olympia hall has a 10m ceiling under cast-iron trusses with daylight from the south-facing roof lanterns. Acoustically the hall is challenging (RT60 ~2.6s on brick and timber) and we always run tight cardioids on KOL audio with floor-mounted Tube Traps behind camera. Load-in via the Torkel Knutssonsgatan dock is restricted to 3.5m height and one truck at a time. Power is single-phase 32A per circuit plus one 3-phase tie-in per hall. We've delivered multiple Klarna-adjacent and Spotify-adjacent product launches here.

Stockholm winter daylight runs 6 hours total in December (sunrise 08:45, sunset 14:50), which means most B-roll plates for any KOL backdrop need to front-load before 13:30; we cost in an additional studio day for any executive cutaway scheduled December through January.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about hiring a videographer in Stockholm.

Corporate video production in Stockholm typically ranges from SEK 30,000 for a single-camera interview setup to SEK 200,000+ for a multi-day brand film shoot. Most B2B projects we deliver fall in the SEK 50,000–SEK 120,000 range, covering pre-production, a full shoot day, and professional post-production. We provide fixed pricing on every quote so there are no surprises on the invoice.
We can mobilise a full production crew in Stockholm within 24–48 hours for urgent briefs. Our crew is based locally and covers every major district and venue. For planned shoots we typically schedule 1–2 weeks ahead for proper pre-production and any required permit coordination.
Yes. Commercial filming in Stockholm’s public spaces requires a permit from the Stockholms stad (City of Stockholm) traffic office (trafikkontoret). The Stockholm Film Commission facilitates productions and provides location support. We handle all permit applications, coordination with Polisen (police), and insurance requirements on your behalf. For small crews with handheld equipment on public streets, filming generally does not require a formal permit. Processing times are typically 1–2 weeks. Sweden’s Right of Public Access (allemansrätten) does not extend to commercial filming on private or managed public land.
Absolutely. We regularly coordinate multi-country shoots for enterprise clients, covering up to 8+ countries per project. Stockholm serves as one of our key regional hubs, and we have trusted local crews in every major city worldwide. You get one point of contact, consistent brand quality, and a single consolidated invoice regardless of how many locations are involved.
Every project includes two full rounds of revisions at no extra cost. The first round covers structural edits — pacing, scene order, and content changes. The second round handles fine-tuning — colour grading adjustments, audio levels, text overlays, and final polish. Additional revision rounds can be arranged if needed and are quoted transparently upfront.
We deliver in every format you need. Standard deliverables include high-resolution MP4 (H.264 and H.265) for web and broadcast, plus optimised versions for LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, and internal platforms. We also provide ProRes masters for archival and further editing. All files delivered via secure cloud transfer within the agreed timeline.

Stockholm's Video Production Market

Stockholm is Sweden’s capital and one of Europe’s most important technology cities, producing more billion-dollar tech companies per capita than any city outside Silicon Valley. The city is home to Spotify, Klarna, King (Candy Crush), iZettle, and hundreds of SaaS and fintech companies, alongside established corporations like Ericsson, Volvo, Atlas Copco, and SEB. Norrmalm and Östermalm form the traditional CBD, housing Swedish banks, law firms, and the Stockholm Stock Exchange. Kista Science City in the north is one of Europe’s leading ICT clusters, home to Ericsson’s headquarters and dozens of telecom and enterprise tech companies. Stockholm’s pharmaceutical sector includes AstraZeneca’s Swedish operations, Sobi (Swedish Orphan Biovitrum), and the Karolinska Institutet research corridor in Solna. The city hosts B2B events at Stockholmsmässan, the Waterfront Congress Centre, and Müller. Most Stockholm production companies focus on advertising and entertainment, leaving the B2B enterprise niche underserved despite the city’s enormous concentration of SaaS and tech companies.

Why Professional Video Delivers ROI

Stockholm’s reputation as Europe’s unicorn factory makes professional video essential for its thriving B2B tech ecosystem. LinkedIn is the dominant professional platform in the Nordics, and video posts generate 5x more engagement than text. For SaaS companies scaling from Stockholm into European and global markets, professional video is the content engine that drives demand generation, investor relations, and employer branding. A single shoot day at your Norrmalm office or Kista campus produces a brand film, executive interviews, and social clips in Swedish and English. The ROI case is strong for Stockholm’s fintech and SaaS community where product demos, customer stories, and founder content directly influence enterprise sales and funding rounds.

Equipment & Crew

We shoot on cinema-grade Sony FX6 and FX9 camera systems paired with Zeiss and Sony G Master prime lenses. For conference work at Stockholmsmässan, the Waterfront Congress Centre, and major hotel venues, we deploy multi-camera rigs with wireless audio systems (Sennheiser EW and DPA lavaliers). Our standard Stockholm crew consists of a director/camera operator, sound recordist, and production assistant. We carry lighting equipment optimised for Stockholm’s variable natural light conditions across seasons. All footage is backed up on-set, and post-production includes Swedish and English subtitle and graphics capabilities in-house.

Coverage Area

We cover all of Stockholm and the wider Mälaren Valley region without travel surcharges. Regular shooting locations include Norrmalm (the CBD), Kungsholmen (Stockholm City Hall and corporate offices), Östermalm, Södermalm (the creative and startup hub), and Kista Science City (Ericsson HQ and ICT cluster). We cover Stockholmsmässan in Älvsjö, the Waterfront Congress Centre, the Grand Hôtel, Müller, and the Clarion Hotel Sign. Beyond Stockholm, we serve clients in Solna (Karolinska and AstraZeneca), Sundbyberg, Uppsala, and Linköping. For Nordic and pan-European projects, we coordinate crews in Copenhagen, Oslo, Helsinki, Amsterdam, London, and Berlin.
